The troop took a short drive to just north of Statesville, NC to enjoy a campout at Allison Woods Outdoor Learning Center. They worked on the Bird Study merit badge and got to meet two owls up close. They also dissected owl pellets to see what they birds had eaten. They also had patrol cooking time, enjoyed games, fished, and had one the best campfire programs in a whle.
